Board of Directors


Jim Schauer – Board President 

In his seventh year on the Board of Directors (BOD), Jim continues to be excited about the school he and his wife chose for their three daughters 11 years ago. Two are in high school and the third is in her last year of elementary.  Jim volunteers in the classroom and has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and now President, of the BOD. Jim has coached both middle and high school girls’ basketball.. Jim and his wife Kami chose TPCA for their kids because of the curriculum, class sizes, and welcoming culture.. Jim holds a B.S. from the Colorado School of Mines in mathematics and computer science (with a minor in geophysics) and is manager of a local imagery company.


Regina Casey – Board Vice President 

Regina returns to the BOD after an eight year absence. She is a founding family of the school and served on the BOD shortly after the school opened its doors in 1997. Three of her four grown children attended TPCA. Regina looks forward to giving back and still appreciates the excellent education her now adult children received. Regina works in the insurance industry, has been married to Trent for 34 years, and enjoys horses and farm life.


Marisa Shrider – Board Treasurer  

A parent volunteer at TPCA since 2013, Marisa is currently serving her second term on the BOD. Marisa and her husband, Phil, have two children at TPCA (a daughter in middle school and a son in elementary) as well as two grown daughters in college. Ms. Shrider has a love for reading and a passion for photography. She brings a background in accounting and finance to her service as Board Treasurer.


Jody Reenan – Board Secretary  

This is Jody’s first year on the BOD. She has been part of the TPCA community for the past three years volunteering in the classroom, at the Scholastic Book Fair,and for the Timberwolf Trot. She graduated from Purdue University with a degree in civil engineering and has spent the last 16 years in the software industry as both employee and consultant. Jody and her husband, John, have three boys attending TPCA.


Tim Ellis – Board Member 

Tim and his family are in their ninth year at TPCA. He and his wife Kristin have four children, a son in elementary, a daughter in middle school, a son in high school, and a daughter who graduated from TPCA and attends Tulane University in New Orleans on an academic scholarship. As a professional photographer, graphic designer, and artist, Tim has been actively involved in the Longmont community since evacuating his family here from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina..

Tim has been an active volunteer at TPCA from the start believing  that anything he can do to help the teachers and administration will only foster a better educational experience for his children. He and his wife are active volunteers at TPCA. They started the first High School Booster Club and are active in high school musicals. Tim has served as Chair of the Marketing Committee for the past two years. In 2017 or 2018?, he was elected to his first term as a Board Member and serves on the Community Development Committee.


Ben Bishop – Board Member 

We welcome Ben to his first year as a TPCA board member. He and his wife Joy successfully educated their five children at home for ten years before enrolling them at TPCA, They were impressed with the rigorous, classical K-12 model.  The couple has volunteered in the classroom, at events and field trips, and on hiring committees.

His children participate in band, track, basketball, cross country, and the BB Racers Club at TPCA.  Ben has a B.S. in Aviation Computer Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and an MBA from the University of Colorado. He spent four years in the US Air Force and the Air Force Reserves,and now works with satellites at a local tech company. Ben loves to be in the classroom encouraging kids to engage in their education while planning  for college and a meaningful career.


Sandra Hughes – Board Member 

The 2017-2018 school years marks Sandra’s first year on the BOD and her second year as a parent at TPCA. During that first year, she enjoyed chaperoning and attending choir events and helping out where necessary.

Sandra is looking forward to working with the TPCA community partnering with the administration to review and enhance academic structure. Having already raised seven children, Sandra has countless ideas to share with the board, administration, and parents. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration as well as an MBA. She is an independent distributor for a cosmetic company, and is working towards her real estate license.  She has a son in high school this year, and another son finishing middle school in 2018.
