In his seventh year on the Board of Directors (BOD), Jim continues to be excited about the school he and his wife chose for their three daughters 11 years ago. Two are in high school and the third is in her last year of elementary. Jim volunteers in the classroom and has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and now President, of the BOD. Jim has coached both middle and high school girls’ basketball.. Jim and his wife Kami chose TPCA for their kids because of the curriculum, class sizes, and welcoming culture.. Jim holds a B.S. from the Colorado School of Mines in mathematics and computer science (with a minor in geophysics) and is manager of a local imagery company.
First year board member Matt and his family have been attending TPCA for 6 years now. Matt and his wife, Sasha, have four children, three of which will be attending TPCA next year. Matt and Sasha, both Texas natives, moved here in 2003 when he was accepted to the Atmospheric Science graduate program at Colorado State University. Since 2008, he has worked for the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration in Boulder as a software engineer and currently runs his own software consulting business. When he is not working or herding kids, you might find Matt running or climbing along the Front Range or even reading in a rare, quiet moment. Matt’s deep appreciation for the community and the educational philosophy at TPCA has driven his desire to volunteer at and actively support the school.
Tim and his family are in their ninth year at TPCA. He and his wife Kristin have four children, a son in elementary, a daughter in middle school, a son in high school, and a daughter who graduated from TPCA and attends Tulane University in New Orleans on an academic scholarship. As a professional photographer, graphic designer, and artist, Tim has been actively involved in the Longmont community since evacuating his family here from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina..
Tim has been an active volunteer at TPCA from the start believing that anything he can do to help the teachers and administration will only foster a better educational experience for his children. He and his wife are active volunteers at TPCA. They started the first High School Booster Club and are active in high school musicals. In 2014, he was elected to his first term as a Board Member and serves on the Community Development Committee.
The 2017-2018 school years marks Sandra’s first year on the BOD and her second year as a parent at TPCA. During that first year, she enjoyed chaperoning and attending choir events and helping out where necessary.
Sandra is looking forward to working with the TPCA community partnering with the administration to review and enhance academic structure. Having already raised seven children, Sandra has countless ideas to share with the board, administration, and parents. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration as well as an MBA. She is an independent distributor for a cosmetic company, and is working towards her real estate license. She has a son in high school this year, and another son finishing middle school in 2018.
